SCSO - The Dispatcher
1 - Youth Drug Prevention Art Contest
Congratulations to all the talented students from Seminole County Public Schools who participated in the 2025 Youth Drug Prevention Art Contest!
We had the privilege of celebrating the incredible creativity and dedication of young artists from all over our community. The award ceremony recognized and highlighted each student’s unique artistic expression and commitment to making healthy, positive choices. The event was not just about showcasing artwork, but about emphasizing the powerful messages behind each piece.
A special congratulations to our grand prize winner — whose artwork is now proudly displayed on the back of our School Resource Deputy’s patrol car, sharing that positive message across Seminole County!

2 - Remembering Hugh Thomas
On March 28, 1989, Deputy Hugh Thomas, a Lake Brantley High School graduate, was shot and killed in the line of duty. Especially in the challenging times we face today, know that the courageous men and women who wear the badge are there whenever you need them. This video is our memorial to a dedicated public servant, gone too soon.

4 - Scam Alert
We have been made aware of individuals pretending to be members of the Seminole County Sheriff's Office calling residents to tell them that they have missed jury duty or have an active warrant. The numbers have been "spoofed" to make them appear they're coming from a legitimate source. If you receive a call like this HANG UP. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office will NEVER call you requesting digital signatures. You can report these fraudulent phone calls by contacting our non-emergency line at 407-665-6650.
5 - National Puppy Day
National Puppy Day took place on March 23rd, so in honor of the holiday, please enjoy these photos of K9s Storm and Bella when they were puppies. They each serve very important roles in our agency and community. From locating certain electronic devices and comforting children in our schools, our K9s do it all. We hope our little pups bring a smile to your day!
